Job Description: **Assistant Chef** **Location:** The Donnington Care Home, Wantage Road, Donnington, Newbury RG14 3BE **Contract:** Permanent - Part Time **Hours:** 30 hours per week **Salary:** £14.09 to £15.59 per hour depending on experience **CQC rating:** Good **Carehome.co.uk rating:** 9.7 / 10 **NOTE:** This role requires you to have your own transport due to the homes location The Donnington in Newbury focuses on round-the-clock support for a wide range of needs. Care provision includes nursing or residential care, convalescence and respite, as well as palliative care support and help for adults with Parkinson’s. Residents can stay for a week, a month or longer– however long residents or loved ones need support. They’ll get to relax and meet new friends, giving families complete peace of mind. The home has a dedicated respite room that can be booked up to six months in advance, staff are happy to accept last-minute requests too. With scenic countryside surroundings, this converted red-brick Victorian house offers comfortable social environments, light and airy lounges, en-suite bedrooms and on-site therapies. The chef works hard to achieve a menu that pleases each resident, with all food home-cooked and nutritionally balanced. Many activities and fulfilling pastimes are enjoyed within the house, including art classes and musical recitals, with summer fetes and other annual events adding further to home life. **We make health happen** Here at Bupa we support those when they need it the most.
