What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2+ years of experience in K-8 education, child development, or related work/education, Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising children in groups of 15+, Availability for full-time camp work (4–8 consecutive weeks, depending on location), Ability to manage multiple priorities with enthusiasm and urgency, Willingness to complete pre-camp requirements (background checks, onboarding, training, CPR/First Aid), Must be at least 21 years old, Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g. , Child Development, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, etc.) OR Associate's Degree or 60 college credits + 3 months (455 hours) of experience supervising 4+ unrelated children (ages 4+). OR 21 months (3,185 hours) of relevant experience + either 6 college credits or 40 clock hours of school-age children-related training., Direct supervision of 4+ children (ages 4-18) who are not related to applicant, Experience must be verifiable with proper documentation (e.g. , letters from employers, signed and on company letterhead)., Completion of CO licensing requirements upon including PDIS trainings, background checks, 2h in person Med admin training, CPR/First Aid)
Nice to Have
6+ months of leadership or supervisory experience preferred, Current Early Childhood Professional Credential Level II (or higher) – No additional experience required.
What You'll Do.
Oversee daily camp operations
and inclusive experience for all campers
Independently lead and supervise the Extended Care program
Collaborate with the Camp Director on daily operations
Provide operational leadership during busy periods
Staff support and team leadership
and supervise the Extended Care program
and engaging environment
Maintain staffing ratios
Manage camp rotations
Cover duties as needed
Step in to lead camper groups or facilitate curriculum
Participate in camp activities
Lead and coach the camp team
Manage Summer Interns
Supervise and assign daily tasks to staff
Coordinate coverage during staff breaks
Oversee responsibilities during Extended Care
Complete essential administrative tasks related to family registration and communication with families
Prioritize daily tasks effectively
Maintain camper safety
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Work closely and collaborate with the Camp Director; Collaborate with the Camp Director on daily operations; Partner with the Camp Director to lead and coach the camp team; Coordinate coverage during staff breaks
