What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1-2 years experience in building operations or general maintenance in a commercial, retail, residential, or industrial environment, Experience with HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Alarm, and other related equipment and systems, Grade 12 or equivalent, hands-on knowledge of general maintenance, Sound knowledge of building systems and emergency procedures, Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS), First Aid and CPR training, Experience in working at heights, Computer literate
Nice to Have
Knowledge of Yardi FM and/or Angus is an asset
What You'll Do.
Conduct daily rounds and inspections
Respond to tenant concerns
Record all services performed
Operate equipment safely and efficiently
Complete maintenance and repairs
Carry out preventative maintenance tasks
Assist with pick-ups and deliveries
Maintain shop and equipment inventory
Ensure signage and lighting are in good working condition
Maintain cleanliness of common areas
Ensure compliance with government regulations
Comply with company policies
Support Building Operators with monitoring
Take daily readings of equipment
Support monitoring of building security system
Support testing and fire drills

As an Assistant Building Operator, you will perform a broad range of building operations and maintenance duties to ensure our properties operate efficiently, safely and to a high standard of physical quality. Reporting to the Manager, Technical Services, you will collaborate across our organization to address both the planned and unplanned operational needs of our buildings and support the continued performance of Allied’s portfolio. ## Responsibilities Conduct daily rounds and regular inspections as assigned. Collaborate with all departments to ensure smooth building operations. Respond to tenant concerns in a timely manner and assist in finding appropriate solutions. Record all services performed in Yardi work order management system. Ensure all equipment and systems are operated in a safe and efficient manner. Complete maintenance and repairs as required,
