Full Job Description

We are seeking an engaged, organized, and self-driven **Assistant/Associate Scientist** to support **Manufacturing Science & Technology** within **Aseptic & Microbial Process Control Sciences**. This role will perform microbiology laboratory testing and evaluate microbial growth characteristics in support of clinical and commercial technology transfer projects. The successful candidate will perform basic microbiology testing, including bioburden/microbial counts and growth-promotion testing, using aseptic technique. Responsibilities include executing laboratory tests according to approved protocols and procedures, using standard and computerized laboratory equipment such as an electronic lab notebook, maintaining laboratory operations, cleaning equipment, supporting preventive maintenance schedules, and managing laboratory supplies. This position will also support documentation activities, including documenting test results, writing test reports, authoring final reports as needed, and drafting, reviewing, and approving technical documents related to technology transfers. Additional project support may include microbial-characteristics testing for network buffers as part of a gap assessment and supporting development of electronic checklists for sterility and microbial-control activities. **Requirements** Required qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or equivalent STEM field. * 1–3 years of laboratory experience. * Knowledge of microbiology, cell culture, or biochemistry laboratory techniques. * Proficiency in aseptic techniques. * Strong detail orientation and good organizational skills. * Technical writing skills. * Ability to perform microbiology testing such as bioburden/microbial counts and growth-promotion testing. * Ability to document test results and write test reports. * Ability to work effectively both independently and with cross-functional teams.
