The role: As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll support the Finance team by ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting. You’ll work closely with the Senior Accountant and gain exposure beyond day-to-day transactions in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Key responsibilities include assisting with a range of accounting duties, including fixed assets, month-end preparation and reporting, audit support, accounts reconciliation, sales reporting and variance analysis. What you’ll be doing: * Processing and documenting financial transactions accurately * Reconciling balance sheet and intercompany accounts and resolving discrepancies * Assisting with month-end and year-end close (journals and reporting) * Supporting BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, FBT and other statutory reporting * Assisting with audit documentation and requirements * Handling day-to-day finance tasks (PO matching, invoice coding, allocations) * Providing cover across Accounts Payable and Receivable when required * Prepare accurate and timely monthly sales reports across products and business segments. * Assist in CAPEX process, maintain the register and perform monthly reconciliation * Preparing ad-hoc
