Principal Duties/Responsibilities: · Performs complex assembly to products, circuit boards, cables, and/or starters from work orders, sample assemblies, verbal instruction, or blueprints. · Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other. · Performs assembly for special customer orders. · Assembles and attaches hardware to assemblies. · Mounts assembled components. · Assembles modules and other items as needed for repairs. · Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified characteristics. · Finishes all modules involving packaging, labeling, coating, etc., as necessary. · May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device. · Assists Level I and II Assemblers with more complicated assemblies. · Connects wires to specified terminals following diagrams, wire lists, and color codes. · Solders and bolts components in specified location on assembly. · Reads blueprints, schematics, and technical orders to determine methods and sequence of assembly operations. · Dismantles equipment and replaces worn or defective parts to repair malfunctioning equipment. · Tests assembled equipment to locate defects, using functional test instruments. · May be required to operate and train entry level employees on powered industrial vehicle operation. · Continually improves processes; quantitatively monitors processes.
