**Assembler Op – 1st Shift** **Location:** York, PA **Shift: 1st** Shift | Full-Time **Pay:** $24.12 - $28.49 At **Johnson Controls** , we’re not just constructing buildings—we’re creating smarter, healthier, and more sustainable environments for generations to come. **RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:** Assemblers must be able to perform a combination of production assembly tasks to ensure conformance to specifications and continuous production consistent with established standards. Assembles parts to form complete unites or subassemblies at a bench or conveyor line in an open-air manufacturing environment. May be assigned to work in any area of the facility where required including final assembly, subassembly, and insulation. **PRINCIPAL DUTIES:** * Performs a combination of production assembly tasks using hand tools, small power tools, and other special equipment following detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures (written and verbal) to meet and exceed customer expectations. Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, engineering drawings, and shop orders to assemble final and subassembly products. Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs). * Safety Awareness - Take responsibility for their own safety as well as the safety of others. Understand the proper processes/equipment in the department. Knowledge of JSA’s, PPE usage, 5S, and all safety regulations in the facility. Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions and complies with all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. * Quality - Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisors. Performs first article inspection for conformance to specifications both blue print and work order. * Teamwork – Builds teamwork by working with other departments, shifts, and management to meet and exceed customer expectations.
