Basic knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods., Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance, Basic knowledge of engine control systems, design, assembly and function, Basic knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and the ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations or standards
What You'll Do.
Position and align components for assembly
manually or using hoists
and verify parts clearances
Fasten and install piping
or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies
and replace damaged parts or assemblies
Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specifications manuals
and plan assembly or building operations
Verify conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints
using measuring instruments such as calipers
Maintain and lubricate parts and components
Assemble systems of gears by aligning and meshing gears in gearboxes
and test completed products to verify functioning
and conformance to customer specifications
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Identify and reduce non-value-added work
Perform special projects as may be required and maintain on the job flexibility by providing support in assembly and other production related areas
