What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field (or equivalent experience), 2–5 years’ experience applying AI/ML in a scientific or HPC, hands-on work with large-scale model training and inference, Proficiency with deep-learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX), HPC toolchains (MPI, Slurm), containerization (Docker, Singularity), model optimization libraries (e.g. , ONNX, NVIDIA/TensorRT), analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in performance profiling, debugging, and optimization on accelerators, Familiarity with software engineering best practices: version control, CI/CD, testing methodologies, and reproducible workflows, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Collaborative mindset, ability to present technical proposals, negotiate implementation options across multi-disciplinary teams
Nice to Have
German proficiency desirable, Contributions to open-source ML/HPC projects, published research in AI/HPC
