What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or another relevant discipline, More than five years of experience implementing complex Artificial Intelligence microservice frameworks and enterprise-level Artificial Intelligence systems, Proven experience designing, integrating, and delivering scalable Artificial Intelligence solutions within modern software environments, Deep understanding of Artificial Intelligence design patterns, Machine Learning methodologies, statistical modelling, and Generative Artificial Intelligence techniques, Hands-on experience in applying agent-based frameworks and developing both single-agent and multi-agent Artificial Intelligence systems, data processing knowledge for Artificial Intelligence microservices, Experience with modern software development practices and microservice-based architecture, Apache Spark using the Python programming language, Apache Kafka, Hadoop ecosystems, Big data storage formats and distributed data processing, Demonstrated ability to deliver robust data processing pipelines suitable for large-scale Artificial Intelligence workloads, Curious, independent, and proactive mindset, interest in understanding customer business needs and operational processes, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Experience and comfortable working in a matrix reporting multinational organization environment

This role owns the full lifecycle of the Artificial Intelligence ecosystem, including architectural design, technology selection, integration, governance, and long-term sustainability. You will provide technical leadership, guide engineering teams, drive adoption of advanced Artificial Intelligence technologies (including agent-based Artificial Intelligence systems), and ensure that all Artificial Intelligence solutions are scalable, secure, compliant with international regulations such as the **European Union Artificial Intelligence Act** and aligned with Rolls-Royce Power Systems’ strategic direction.
