_**Job Description:**_ The Apprentice Engineer will perform preventive maintenance and repair on the Hotel’s mechanical equipment with particular emphasis on, but not limited to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. **Perks & Benefits:** * Employee Assistance Program * Annual Education Allowance * Generous Referral Program * Fun and collaborative company culture with lots of team-building events * Friends and Family rates for Level Hotels & Furnished Suites, The Opus Hotel and The Emily Hotel **What Will You Do?** The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: * Perform or assist scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair on mechanical equipment. * Identify and troubleshoot problems, make repairs as follows: calibrate pneumatic control equipment, replace mechanical seals, re-pack pumps and valves, replace bearings and belts and check for proper alignment, repair fan coil units, pressure vessels, replace piping and fittings and maintain appropriate records of preventive maintenance and repairs. * Prepare and paint surfaces of building structure, furniture and equipment using proper application techniques, various products and visual ability to identify colors and patterns, measure lengths and quantities and assess areas for repair. * Respond to requests and make the necessary repairs in a timely and courteous manner. * Maintain knowledge of fire standpipe, sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers throughout the facility to ensure proper working condition and fire protection in compliance with local fire codes. * Assist with requests to shut down water, steam and gas supplies. * Change filters on HVAC and fan coil units. * Performs all work orders assigned. * Perform or assist in all repairs, maintenance and painting. * Perform preventive maintenance according to PM Schedule. * Report to Management regarding the condition of the property. * Maintain proper environmental conditions throughout the Hotel. * Assist with contr
