Full Job Description
Join our Catalog Support and Programs team and help shape the systems that power Amazon's product selection worldwide. In this role, you'll solve complex data and catalog challenges that directly impact how customers discover products, working across teams to drive meaningful improvements to Amazon's catalog quality and data integrity. Key job responsibilities - Analyze catalog data and metadata to identify inconsistencies, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process improvement - Monitor data flows and ticket queues, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service level agreements - Collaborate with business teams, technology partners, and cross-functional groups to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions - Migrate metadata and business rules from existing manual processes into unified platform systems to enhance listing experiences - Research and interpret data from multiple sources to develop actionable insights and recommendations for catalog quality improvements A day in the life As an Application Engineer I, you'll focus on supporting our catalog systems and helping resolve item-related issues that affect our retail and merchant partners. Your day might include analyzing data inconsistencies in our catalog metadata, collaborating with business teams to understand root causes of catalog problems, and working with technology partners to implement solutions that improve data quality. You'll monitor data flows, track ticket resolution timelines, and dive into complex datasets from multiple sources to uncover insights. Beyond routine support work, you'll also contribute to larger initiatives like migrating business rules into our unified platform, giving you exposure to both immediate problem-solving and longer-term system improvements.
