What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years of keyframe narrative or performance based animation work in film or games, A portfolio demonstrating high quality animation utilizing a keyframe animation workflow, A deep understanding of and passion for narrative experiences and character performance with the ability to help define and drive workflows supporting those efforts, Experience in Unreal Engine and the capacity to contribute to the development of an animation pipeline
Nice to Have
Experience shipping one or more games using Unreal Engine, A dynamic work ethic with a focus on collaboration and adaptability, Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple locations, Tool design and development experience, Python experience
What You'll Do.
Create and implement compelling and high quality animation for narrative and gameplay moments
Participate in Animation reviews to help maintain and improve animation quality and consistency across the project
Work with the Animation Director
technical art and engineering teams to develop and maintain the animation content pipeline from content creation to engine integration and testing
Work effectively with narrative
engineers and other team members to implement compelling narrative and gameplay experiences
concise documentation and provide training to ensure the team understands and can effectively use the animation pipeline and tools

Gravity Well is looking for a mid to senior level Animator, someone with a passion for creating compelling character performances for both narrative and gameplay experiences to flesh out a brand new world and IP. In this role, you will be helping to define who our characters are and how they move. You will work directly alongside our Animation Director and the rest of our amazing team. If you want to spend your days crafting animations in a unique style, solving interesting narrative and gameplay challenges while bringing an exciting, strange and rewarding world to life for our players, then this is the role for you!
