The Anesthesia Technician/Technologist also completes supportive patient care tasks. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1\. Consults Operating Room schedule to determine supply and equipment needs for procedures. 2\. Prepares anesthetizing locations for scheduled procedures to include setting up and calibrating monitoring devices. 3\. Performs basic troubleshooting on equipment such as monitors, pulse oximeter, and capnographs; repairs equipment or requests mechanical assistance. Reports equipment malfunctions immediately. 4\. Assists Anesthesia Providers using aseptic or sterile technique with non-invasive and invasive patient procedures. 5\. Cleans, disinfects and sterilizes reusable equipment and continuously maintains safety and proper working conditions. 6\. Stocks and maintains specialized carts per established specifications. Maintains inventory of all anesthesia supplies and ensures proper care and storage of equipment. 7\. Obtains supplies and equipment as requested by Anesthesia Providers. 8\. Assists with Point of Care tests. 9\. Supports routine and emergency procedures. 10\. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control standards. **QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS** **Education:** High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Two year
