Must Have
Graduate from Accredited Respiratory Therapy or Nursing Program, Completion of Michener Institute Anesthesia Assistant Program or equivalent, Registered with College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario or College of Nurses of Ontario, Minimum two years current experience in anesthesia assistant role, Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support program
Nice to Have
Bachelor's Degree or recognized equivalent, Certified Clinical Anesthesia Assistant, Paediatric experience

The Anaesthesia Assistant (AA) works closely with anesthesiologists as an integral member of the anesthesia care team to provide clinical and technical support to the operating room, peri-operative/post-operative, labour and delivery and all other areas where anesthesia are involved. The AA is also an integral member of the allied health team to which there are accountabilities for professional practice, education and research.
