Full Job Description

**[What the role is]** Climate change is a global existential threat, and Singapore is doing its part to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions for a more sustainable future. The power sector contributes about 40% of Singapore's greenhouse gas emissions. We need to significantly reduce the power sector's emissions, while ensuring that the power system remains secure, reliable, and sustainable. The role will involve driving EMA's efforts on electricity imports and regional power grids, to allow Singapore to access cleaner energy resources outside our borders. You will join a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team tasked to ensure that the regional renewable energy projects and electricity imports are implemented on time, through policy and regulatory measures, and partnership with stakeholders. Specifically, you will join the Market & Regulatory Design branch in the Energy Connections Office **[What you will be working on]** Responsibilities: 1\. Developing policies to ensure that Singapore's power supply remains secure, reliable, and affordable while successfully incorporating electricity imports 2\. Managing regional renewable energy and electricity imports projects 3\. Managing cross-agency policy and operational trade-offs for Singapore to bring in large-scale electricity imports 4\. Engaging industry stakeholders and financial institutions to seek feedback for policies on electricity imports **[What we are looking for]** Requirements: We are looking for people with a keen interest in energy issues and passion for the public service. You must be excited about learning new things, comfortable with navigating ambiguity, challenging the status quo, and willing to speak up and put forward new solutions.
