Must Have

Qualified accountant, MS office toolkit experience, Excellent communication and presentation skills in both formal and informal settings, Ability to interact with the region and UK / US as part of a global team (written and verbal), Control awareness – in particular, the ability to identify and escalate potential control breakdowns and to streamline processes in an effective and efficient manner

Nice to Have

Article ship / Industrial trainee in mid to large sized firms, Audit exposure in large financial institutions / banks preferred

What You'll Do.

Oversee the financial aspects of trading activities

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the bank's trading book

Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements

Provide insights into trading performance

Reconcile daily profit and loss (P) figures for trading desks

Investigate and resolve discrepancies between P figures

Support the identification

and mitigation of trading risks

Report on financial risks to senior colleagues

Maintain and analyze the bank’s trading data

Prepare and submit regulatory reports to authorities

Provide support to external audits

Monitor trading activity for compliance with various related policies

Provide management with technical and operational analysis of the business unit

Work with Line PC team for completeness and accuracy of the books and records that comprises of P&L (Profit & Loss) and Balance Sheet substantiation and reporting

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Cross functional collaboration to ensure a coordinated approach to trading activities; Partner with other functions and business areas; Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function; Working closely with Front Office business, Financial Control, Technical Accounting Group, PC Change Management, Technology, and other infrastructure area

Communication Scope

Excellent communication and presentation skills in both formal and informal settings; Ability to interact with the region and UK / US as part of a global team (written and verbal); Effective communication of complex financial information to traders, risk professionals, senior colleagues, and external stakeholders; Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information

# **Job Description** **Purpose of the role** To oversee the financial aspects of trading activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the bank's trading book, maintenance of compliance with regulatory requirements, and provision of insights into trading performance. **Accountabilities** * Reconciliation of daily profit and loss (P) figures for trading desks to ensure they align with the valued positions in the trading book, investigating and resolving discrepancies between P figures to ensure they reflect the true economic value of the trading portfolio. * Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of trading risks, and report on these financial risks to senior colleagues. * Maintenance and analysis of the bank’s trading data, ensuring its accuracy, completeness and consistency, and provision of insights to traders and senior colleagues on trading performance. * Preparation and submission of regulatory reports to authorities, and provision of support to external audits including addressing auditor queries and ensuring trading activities are appropriately reflected in financial statements. * Effective communication of complex financial information to traders, risk professionals, senior colleagues, and external stakeholders. * Cross functional collaboration to ensure a coordinated approach to trading activities. **Analyst Expectations** * To perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement. * Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in their assigned area of expertise * Thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise * They lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements and coordinating team resources. * If the position has leadership responsibilities, People Leaders are expected to demonstrate a clear set of leadership behaviours to create an environment for colleagues
