What They're Looking For.

Must Have

1 - 3 years of China payroll operations experience, Experience in processing China payroll and end-to-end payroll activities, Experience with APAC countries payroll and labour regulations - particularly for China, Fluent communication skills in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, Knowledge in payroll systems to perform the relevant payroll activities, Knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Office / Google Workspace of software particularly Excel / Sheets, High level of discretion and confidentiality with the handling of the payroll data and results, Knowledge of data privacy act and other payroll related regulations

Nice to Have

Experience in a shared services/GBS environment or large organisations will be an advantage, Candidates without China payroll experience but have end-to-end payroll experience are welcome to apply, Experience is liaising with outsourced payroll providers and country authorities, particularly China, Additional languages a plus

What You'll Do.

Completing the payroll run and all subsequent activities that includes payroll results validation

payroll posting to Finance as well as statutory submission as per the agreed service levels for payroll managed by GBSC.

Liaise closely with the payroll-outsourced vendors (for countries utilizing outsource vendor) to perform the relevant payroll validation and ensure accuracy of the payroll results before requesting for approval of the payroll results.

Provide resolution to relevant payroll queries escalated from the service desk team.

Contribute to issues resolution during internal payroll process and HR review meetings.

Work closely with GBS HR Payroll Team Lead to execute any process improvements within the department.

Perform regular updates and enhancements to job aids

standard operating procedures

knowledge database and other reference materials to assist in resolving employee enquiries and issues.

Support GBS HR Payroll Team Lead in any providing the relevant information or documentations required by internal / external auditors to assist with the periodic audit reviews.

Process the payroll in-house using a system called Platinum.

Support the setup activities of a GBS HR which includes the following but not limited to: Transition activities across APAC ensuring compliance to standardized processes as well as statutory regulations.

Support the implementation of GBS HR supporting tools and technologies

Support key activities (i. e. training and etc) for a successful transition to the GBSC

Liaise closely with the payroll-outsourced vendors; Work closely with GBS HR Payroll Team Lead; Contribute to issues resolution during internal payroll process and HR review meetings; Collaborate with dynamic multinational team
