What They're Looking For.
Must Have
SQL skills, Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have
Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Mixpanel, or similar), Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation or analysis, A background in statistics, with descriptive methods at minimum and inferential a plus, Exposure to product analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar) and concepts such as event tracking or funnel analysis, Experience with experimental methodologies (e.g., A testing) and analysis, Experience working with large or complex relational datasets, Prior work in a SaaS, technology, or data-intensive industry

Answer business and product questions using pulling and querying datasets

Build and maintain reports and dashboards that help stakeholders track the metrics that matter to them
Partner with senior analysts on larger analytical projects
taking ownership of scoped workstreams
Document your work clearly so findings are reproducible and conclusions are defensible
Participate in requirements gathering with internal stakeholders
helping translate a business question into an analytical approach
Participate in the creation of tracking plans for new product features
working within DAT's instrumentation guidelines
Contribute to the team's shared knowledge base
including data definitions
and reusable query libraries
Communicate task status and blockers proactively
and ask clarifying questions before starting work to ensure accurate delivery
