What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Technical or university studies in progress or completed in Accounting, Administration, Finance or related fields, Basic knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS, depending on the country), Basic knowledge of invoicing and withholdings, Basic knowledge of common taxes (VAT, withholdings, etc.), 1 to 2 years of experience in similar roles (desirable, but not always exclusionary), Entry of vouchers into the accounting system, Handling of accounting documents and filing, Support in bank reconciliations, Invoicing and collections or payments management
Nice to Have
Complementary courses or diplomas in: Basic accounting, Accounting systems management, Current tax regulations, Experience with accounting systems or ERP (e.g., SAP, Workday, People Soft, among others), Intermediate use of Excel (filters, basic formulas, pivot tables)
What You'll Do.
Support in accounting registration
Classify and code transactions
Support in reconciliation of accounts
Follow up on pending balances
file accounting documents
Review documentation for fiscal requirements
Support in accounting closing processes
Prepare accounting auxiliaries
Review preliminary reports for closing
Issue invoices and follow up on payments
Coordinate with sales for collections
Review supplier invoices
Prepare payments and track due dates
Analyze and reconcile revenue
Analyze and reconcile portfolio
