Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program, Met Board of Pharmacy requirements to obtain registration, PHRMTECHR-Registered Pharmacy Technician, PHARMC-Certified Pharmacy Technician, PHARMT-Pharmacy Technician, PHARMI-Pharmacy Intern, 1 year recent relevant experience, Knowledge of medical terminology, Knowledge of generic and trade pharmaceutical names, Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, Knowledge of laws and regulations, Knowledge and understanding of different Pharmacy practice settings, Knowledge of narcotic delivery and procedures, Ability to identify and employ pharmaceutical and medical terms, Ability to identify and employ abbreviations and symbols commonly used in prescribing, dispensing, and record keeping of medications, basic working knowledge of legal requirements and accreditation standards including The Joint Commission, Title XXII, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and United States Pharmacopeia (USP), written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people, Well-developed time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize assignments, work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines, General knowledge of computer applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), related pharmaceutical technology, EHR, EPIC

Performs pharmaceutical procedures for medication preparation

Performs pharmaceutical procedures for medication distribution

Ensures safe medication therapy

Ensures effective medication therapy

Ensures cost-efficient medication therapy

Provides pharmaceutical support to patient's plan of care

Adheres to local/state/federal regulations

Adheres to procedures
