Full Job Description

Job Summary The Officer role combines delivery oversight with people development responsibility and deep product expertise across Alternatives NAV operations. Officers are accountable for review quality, product correctness, and team capability, ensuring NAV outputs align with complex fund structures and accounting standards. Key Responsibilities * Review and sign off on NAV deliverables and reconciliations prepared by Senior Associates * Act as escalation point for operational, technical, and client‑related issues * Apply deep product and structural knowledge to challenge accounting treatments and assumptions * Provide technical guidance on complex allocation mechanics, including distribution waterfalls, preferred returns, catch‑ups, and carried interest * Review and support capital account rebalances, true‑ups, and post‑event adjustments * Train, coach, and develop staff, including onboarding and technical upskilling * Ensure consistent adherence to controls, procedures, and service standards * Support complex client discussions related to structures, allocations, and NAV outcomes * Identify recurring issues and drive corrective actions with AVPs * Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications * 4–7 years of alternatives operations or similar experience * Proven review and sign‑off capability with strong judgment on issue escalation * Deep understanding of Private Markets fund structures, including LP/GP models, commitments, capital calls, distributions, and lifecycle events * Deep understanding of differences between Private Equity, Private Credit, and Real Estate * Strong expertise in distribution waterfalls and carried interest mechanics * Experience reviewing capital account rebalances and investor‑level true‑ups * Required experience in training, coaching, and developing staff * Preferred experience and working knowledge of Geneva and/or Investran * Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field # **About State Street*
