Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, 3 years of relevant professional experience as an AIX System Administrator or Developer, Networking and SAN experience, Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an AIX System Administrator or AIX Developer, AIX versions (e.g., AIX 7.1, 7.2, 7.3), Advanced proficiency in shell scripting (Korn Shell, Bash), At least one other scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, Perl), In-depth knowledge of AIX operating system internals, File systems (JFS2, GPFS), Logical volume management (LVM), Networking, Process management, Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex system and application issues in AIX environments, Understanding of common security vulnerabilities and best practices for securing AIX systems in a federal environment, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, U. S. Citizenship, Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
