Full Job Description
Aircraft Painter Team Lead **Company:** The Boeing Company **Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)** is currently seeking an **Aircraft Painter****Team Lead** to join the **BSC****Decorative Paint Team** located in **North Charleston, South Carolina** on **Variable shift**. Performs painting of aircraft sections per customer's design and unique livery requirements. Verifies aircraft is ready for exterior finish. Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft. Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting. **Position Responsibilities:** * Performs inspection of aircraft parts arriving at the component paint facility * Cleans aircraft assemblies * Masking of aircraft assemblies * Sanding of aircraft assemblies * Priming and painting aircraft assemblies * Have the ability of viewing and understand computer- based work instructions and drawings * Maintaining all certifications that are required for the Component Paint shop * This position requires an individual to work at heights utilizing fall protection equipment. Candidate must be able to obtain Fall Protection Certification. Fall Protection Regulations - OSHA 1926, 191066, 1910 Subpart **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** * Able to work overtime on a business need * 3+ years of aircraft painting experience * Ability to work a variable shift * Experience in Industrial paint prep including sanding and or masking **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** * 1+ years of Team Lead/ Temp Team Lead Experience * 1+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience * 1+ years of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting * 1+ years of aircraft paint experience **Conflict of Interest:** Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process. **Shift:** This position is for a variable shift (shift 4).
