Ability to carry and lift overhead up to 50 pounds, Duties include walking, climbing, standing, stooping, stretching, and squatting, Work is primarily performed outside in a high-level noise environment, Performing maintenance in low-light areas, Operating support equipment after daylight hours, Work is occasionally performed in inclement weather, Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance, U. S. citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization

Twelve (12) years working knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations experience, Complying with all applicable aircraft servicing procedures, Complying with aircraft maintenance manuals, Complying with parts catalogs, Broad working knowledge of aircraft maintenance, Broad working knowledge of inspection techniques, Broad working knowledge of FAA regulations, Broad working knowledge of Air Force technical publications, Knowledge of the scope and limitation of various categories of maintenance, Knowledge of their application, Current state drivers license, Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance, U. S. citizenship

Nice to Have

Aircraft maintenance experience on KC-46 aircraft, Current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P)

What You'll Do.

Understand technical order diagrams and procedures

Use test equipment for analysis

Plan and schedule aircraft utilization

Plan and schedule maintenance activity

Coordinate performance with operational customer

Maintain accurate parts inventory

Assign maintenance and repair tasks

Monitor and evaluate task completion

Oversee aircraft jacking

and towing operations

Perform aircraft jacking

and towing operations

Inspect aircraft structures

Oversee aircraft and component inspections

Perform aircraft and component inspections

Interpret inspection findings

Determine adequacy of corrective actions

Perform aircraft safe for flight inspections

Sign off aircraft safe for flight inspections

Perform preflight/thru flightPO inspections

Perform ground handling

Ensure government and/or QA is on-site for IPIs and MGIs

Attend local maintenance production meetings

Attend scheduling meetings

Provide aircraft status updates

Assist in scheduling aircraft maintenance activities

Complete aircraft forms

Complete maintenance information systems documentation

Order parts and equipment through Air Force supply system

Ensure supply discipline

Categorize orders in accordance with Air Force parts/supply/equipment urgency designators

Assist in implementing the Base Emergency Management Program

Operate vehicles on the flightline

Notify the government when aircraft are “crew ready”

Conduct aircrew debriefs

Assist with providing OJT to Mechanics/Technicians

Sign off training records

Perform all other position-related duties as assigned

Work with other mechanics and technical representatives; Coordinates performance with operational customer; Coordinates with QA and the government; Attend local maintenance production and scheduling meetings; Assisting in scheduling aircraft maintenance activities
