What You'll Achieve.
Maintain RAF aircraft in an airworthy condition

Extensive travel, Willing to travel up to 16 weeks per year, Must be able to pass an ATF background check, Must be able to pass a Transportation Screening Authority (TSA) screening, Work performed on-site at UCAR campuses and/or remote field sites
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
FAA Airframe and Power Plant license, Five years of experience as an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic, Three years of experience working on turbine powered aircraft, U. S. citizen, lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or protected individual, Valid passport, Valid US driver's license, Willing to travel up to 16 weeks per year domestically and internationally, Pass an ATF background check, Pass a Transportation Screening Authority (TSA) screening
Nice to Have
Experience with and understanding of avionics components, Experience with Lockheed C-130 and/or Gulfstream GV aircraft, Sheet Metal Fabrication Experience, Composite Fabrication Experience, Be able to pass a FAA third class medical

Assist with machining tasks
Assist with fabrication tasks
Assist with inspection tasks
Assist with installation tasks
Operate large power equipment
Maintain ground support equipment
Evaluate research instrumentation installations
Lead routine maintenance
Lead service operations
Solve complex technical problems
Generate instructions
