Full Job Description
Aircraft Maintenance Technician **Company:** The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is currently seeking an**Aircraft Maintenance Technician** to perform general aviation maintenance, avionics and/or structural work at **Edwards Air Force Base, CA** , in a flight line maintenance environment on modification 5th generation military fighter aircraft as part of a combined test force with active duty military personnel. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) and the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Clearance post-start (U.S. Citizenship Required). This position also requires the ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only. If, at any time, the applicant loses their security clearance or program access, this will be grounds for dismissal. **Position Responsibilities: ** * Perform aircraft maintenance on all aircraft systems, preventative maintenance, launch, recovery, and ground movement, alterations to aircraft structure, systems and sub-systems, including electrical and avionics on standard or experimental certificated aircraft under engineering direction * Load and test software and perform operational checks for hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and avionics systems * Install, test and repair fiber optic and electrical wire * Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight * Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures * Drilling close tolerance holes through multiple stack-ups * Locate and add new structural and line replaceable units * Add system brackets and install new wiring and terminate connectors * Perform initial rigging of landing gear and flight controls as well as doors and other mechanical devices * Read a
