Full Job Description

Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security. The Aircraft Maintenance and Systems Technician will be responsible for fabrication, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and modifications on the carrier aircraft airframe and systems. The candidate should thrive in a high paced environment and be comfortable with the design, development, and test life cycle of rapid aerospace R bending, riveting, fasteners, treatment of metal, or changing large LRU’s & subs system components such as flight control systems, landing gear systems, pneumatic systems, etc. Strong understanding of the importance of FOD control and tool control Detail oriented – strong attention to detail Ability to problem solve and adapt quickly to changing priorities Ability to work independently, responsible, take the initiative Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance Physically able to handle items weighing up to 50 lbs. Other duties as determined/assigned by management Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Level I ($31.00-$45.25): High school diploma or equivalency certificate and 2-5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, systems fabrication, installation Level II ($39.00-$56.50): High school diploma or equivalency certificate and 5-10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, systems fabrication, installation A&P license (Preferred but not required) IA (Preferred but not required) Flight line or flight test experience (Preferred) Special remarks regarding work environment, if applicable This position is located in Mojave, CA Must be abl
