****Job Description:**** Join us to be part of the new Airbus UpNext strategic demonstrator paving the future of Aircraft Connectivity. This demonstrator will accelerate the development of new technologies to bring tangible learnings to the business. Designed as a talent incubator, Airbus UpNext is a place where you can act and think like a startup while building on the strong expertise of Airbus, a place where you are empowered to challenge and test new processes and ways of working. **_The Transverse Software Lead position is within Airbus UpNext and it consists of a limited contract linked to the delivery of the demonstrator (estimated completion date February- 2028), starting ASAP._** **_Mission:_** As the Transverse Software Lead, you will be a hands-on technical team member, responsible for bridging the gap between physical hardware on a plane and scalable, cost-effective infrastructure in AWS . Your main tasks and responsibilities will include: * Full-Stack Apps: Quickly build backend APIs and frontend tools to process and view data. * Smart Data Handling: Manage a heavy, constant flow of live data (telemetry) from sensors and aircraft equipment. * Offline-First Logic: Design systems that store data locally when the internet drops out and sync it automatically when reconnected. * Advanced AWS: Design and manage complex, multi-account AWS setups while keeping cloud costs low (FinOps). * Secure Networking: Connect on-board plane systems to the cloud using secure networks (VPNs, firewalls, and routing). * DevOps & Containers: Package apps using Docker/Kubernetes and automate deployments using IaC and CI/CD. * Hardware Integration: Connect software directly to aircraft hardware, sensors, and wireless access points (WAPs). * Modern Tools: Use AI coding assistants (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) to write, document, and clean up code faster. * Monitoring: Set up tracking tools to monitor system performance across both local hardware and the cloud. **_Your boarding pass_**
