As a member of the Air Permitting team, you will support environmental programs aimed at ensuring compliance with air quality regulations and standards in the Americas while also enabling AWS's growth around the world. As an Air Quality Engineer you will support air permitting and air quality compliance for new and existing AWS facilities within an assigned regional location (typically 1-4 data center sites). You will work under moderate guidance to manage compliance activities and program components through directed work projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders across AWS to support standards and mechanisms that incorporate air quality permitting into the process of planning, building, and operating data centers. You will assist with air quality engineering projects and provide compliance support for both design and operations teams under guidance from senior team members. The Air Quality Engineer will also work with internal and external partners that include government entities, AWS regional environmental engineers, consultants, design, construction, operations and other key stakeholders. The successful candidate will have basic knowledge of air quality engineering solutions and air permitting in North America, the ability to complete well-defined tasks according to clear instructions, and demonstrate commitment to air quality compliance and sustainability.
