What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solution Architect, Field Engineer, Technical Consultant, Forward-Deployed Engineer, or similar, understanding of the Agentic AI ecosystem, AI infrastructure and trends, analytics, data modeling, and cloud data platforms, Hands-on ability to build prototypes using technologies such as Python, React, SQL, APIs, SDKs, lightweight services, or frontend integrations, all with the use of AI (Claude Code, Codex or Cursor that we all use at GoodData), Practical understanding of AI and GenAI concepts such as LLMs, agents, RAG, embeddings, orchestration, evaluation, guardrails, and AI workflow design, Ability to run structured discovery and translate business problems into clear technical solution options, Ability to explain complex AI, analytics, and architecture concepts in a simple and compelling way, Commercial awareness and understanding of how technical validation supports sales success

Nice to Have

Experience with GoodData or similar analytics platforms, Experience designing or building AI agents, copilots, analytics assistants, automation workflows, or custom data applications, Experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, or frontend embedding patterns, Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, Familiarity with data warehouses, lakehouses, pipelines, orchestration tools, or modern data-stack architectures, Experience working with Professional Services, Product, or Engineering teams to move prototypes into production

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Work directly with new prospects and existing customers; Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Success; Partner with Account Executives to drive the technical win in sales cycles; Coordinate with Professional Services on delivery scope, feasibility, implementation handoff, and services-led opportunities; Coordinate with Product and Engineering to turn recurring customer needs into product feedback, reusable accelerators, reference architectures, or roadmap inputs; Represent GoodData in technical customer workshops, executive briefings, webinars, and partner conversations

Full Job Description

As an AI Solution Engineer, you will be the technical lead in strategic customer and prospect engagements where AI, analytics, and data-product thinking come together. You will work directly with new prospects and existing customers to understand their business challenges, discover AI and analytics opportunities, design solution concepts, and build proof-of-concepts that demonstrate what is possible with GoodData’s AI stack. This is not a traditional demo-only Sales Engineering role. You will act as a customer-facing solution architect, technical advisor, and hands-on builder. Your job will be to help customers understand how GoodData can support their AI and analytics ambitions, whether through native platform capabilities, integrations, custom extensions, embedded experiences, or agentic workflows built alongside the GoodData stack. You will work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Success to turn customer ideas into validated solutions, repeatable patterns, and productized capabilities.
