Full Job Description
We currently have a vacancy for an **AI Software Engineer (Python, JavaScript & Microservices),** fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Maastricht, Netherlands. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site. **Your tasks** * Contribute to the continued development and maintenance of a system composed of multiple technologies; * Implement the backbone server and image storage, and further developing the AI components for contrail detection and flight attribution; * Support the transition from AI-assisted to AI-generated software development and lead by example; * Drafting high-quality technical documentation and communication, including specifications, design notes, test descriptions, and user or operational documentation, * Microservices deployment on platforms; * Ensure developed solutions comply with operational, safety and quality standards. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, with a focus on Software Engineering, combined with minimum 6 years of relevant working experience in IT; * Practical experience with modern web UI development, microservices and container platforms; * Experience with Python programming and key libraries, neural networks, image segmentation; * Experience with AI-assisted development, agentic approaches, and hands-on familiarity with cloud and data science environments; * Minimum 1 year experience with Web UI development using Vue, React, or Angular; * Minimum 1 year experience with Node.js development; * Minimum 1 year experience with Microservices / container platforms, such as OpenShift, Docker, or equivalent; * Minimum 1 year experience with Python-based services, e.g. Pandas, FastAPI, Polars, NumPy, Flask; * Minimum
