**[What the role is]** Provide strategic direction and lead a team of supervisors focused on supervision of AI risk management for the financial sector. This position sits with Banking Department II. **[What you will be working on]** * Oversee the development and implementation of supervisory frameworks and approaches for AI risk management. * Work on both broad and technical policy and regulatory issues across the finance sector relating to all aspects of AI * Coordinate with whole-of-government agencies on AI related matters that impact the financial sector * Work on standards-setting work at international bodies related to AI risk management in finance * Work with departments in MAS overseeing the development of AI in finance and contribute to the broader MAS strategy on AI * Drive research and analysis on emerging AI trends, risks, and mitigation techniques relevant to finance. * Manage team resources, project timelines, and deliverables. **[What we are looking for]** * Extensive experience in AI governance, AI risk management and/or AI implementation in the financial sector. * Good understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management principles for financial institutions. * Experience with financial regulation or supervision is valued. * Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and complex projects. * Deep understanding of AI, machine learning technologies, data science, with a strong interest to stay current with rapidly evolving AI technologies and regulatory landscapes. * Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. * Strong communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences. * Strong interpersonal skills, with experience in engagement of diverse stakeholders. * Relevant advanced degrees in fields like AI, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related highly quantitative field.
