Must Have

Associate's Degree and a minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience, OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 4 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience

Nice to Have

Bachelor’s Degree, Prior commercial loan experience, Prior work experience in Participation and Syndication products and servicing, Prior experience in loan accounting and document review, Prior experience working with AFS Level 3 or AFS Vision

What You'll Do.

Provides support to Agent Banking Participation and Syndication through transaction processing inclusive of advances

interest rate rollovers and other necessary transactions to the commercial loans servicing system for our Participation and Syndication portfolio.

Completes daily reconciliation of incoming and outgoing cash

monitors exception reports

and updates accounting system as necessary.

Complete loan transaction to post payments

and other maintenance related to all products in the participation bought and participation sold portfolios.

Process manual periodic settlements of interest and unused fee transactions.

billing and general ledger accounts and systems.

Send Notification to participation banks ensuring accuracy against loan activity.

Reconcile and clear all outstanding items in related open item general ledger clear all known system exceptions.

Reconcile loan payments and ensure our payments agree with lead bank escalate out of balance situations as necessary to the Lead Agent Banking Servicing Specialist and/or Portfolio Liaison.

Stay up to date on all current processes and adapt to changing working environment.

Work with Lead Servicing Specialist to update procedures as necessary.

Perform necessary transactions on acquired and/or converted portfolios to ensure smooth transition from donor portfolios into M&T's portfolio.

Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards

policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.

Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Promote an environment that supports a culture of belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

Maintain M&T internal control standards

including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Complete other related duties as assigned.
