What They're Looking For.
Must Have
degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience, Prior engineering experience within aerospace, automotive, power generation or manufacturing environments, U. S. citizenship is required
Nice to Have
Proficient in 3D CAD modeling applications such as Unigraphics NX or similar, Skilled in 1D mean line sizing of turbomachinery, Experienced in 3D blading of centrifugal compressors, radial inflow turbines, and axial fans, Capable of characterizing turbomachinery performance in a laboratory environment, Able to use commercial CFD software such as STAR-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, or ANSYS CFX for turbomachinery design, Knowledgeable in basic programming using common languages (e. g. , Python, MATLAB, C++), Understanding of mechanical design principles, including strength analysis and material behavior
