Eligibility Requirements

stand at least 6 to 8 hours a day, work with upper body extremities, walk, sit, or stoop on a regular basis, lift and/or move up to 15 pounds on a frequent basis, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds on occasion, Items more than 30 pounds will be lifted with assistance, exposed to moving high speed machinery and/or mechanical parts, use approved chemicals, exposed to dust, fumes, or smoke from normal machining operations, noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek., Ability and willingness to weld complex components, Ability and willingness to weld outside of home cell, Capability and willingness to work efficiently and provide training to other welders & CMOs in more than one area outside of your home cell (excluding specialized areas), Must be able to work overtime, when required, Requires access to U. S. export-controlled information, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U. S. Person

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

High school diploma or General education Degree (GED), Successful completion of a TIG welding training course (formal or informal program), at least 18 years of age by the time of joining

Nice to Have

Prior experience welding aluminum, Occasionally, the business requires mandatory overtime. Must be able to work overtime, when required, Must be able to read safety rules in the use and maintenance of shop equipment., Able to read and understand specifications, be able to analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints and written instructions., Able to read and complete forms to generate meaningful reports and charts., Have the ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions from team members, coaches and leaders., Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.

Perform duties in service cells

Perform manufacturing operations

Weld together metal components

Weld in various positions

Examine weld for bead size

Prepare parts for welding

Position or clamp work pieces

Assemble in a jig or fixture

Tack assemblies together

Verify fixture calibration

Maintain eQuals requirements

Use standards shop measuring devices

Housekeeping of cell (5S)

Review and follow work instructions

Ensure company paperwork is filled-out accurately

Fully understand blueprints

Identify revision levels

Produce error free products

Meet production goals

Work to established Lean Manufacturing guidelines

Understand safety and machining hazards

Have basic understanding of welding

Undergo on-the-job training

Obtain CVP certification

Compliance with GE policies

Keep team informed of work progress
