What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of professional experience as a pre-sales technical resource in an enterprise software company (B2B), Excellent written and verbal communication skills, A working knowledge of technical infrastructure, including web services, application servers, databases, virtualization, and directories is required, Conversant in modern SaaS architecture, Residence in Chicago, IL is required
Nice to Have
3+ years working with Identity, Governance, and Access Management solutions is preferred, Familiarity with IaaS platforms such as Azure/AWS/GCP, Experience with APIs and API tools such as Postman, Agentic AI technology such as Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Google Vertex, Azure Foundry, Salesforce Agentforce, etc. , LLMs, MCP, RAG, Java, XML, LDAP, SQL, and JSON is desirable

Participate in sales process
Understand customer requirements
Align solutions to requirements
Present SailPoint business functions
Provide product demonstrations
Develop RFP responses
Participate in Proof of Value evaluations
Provide feedback to Product Management
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Partner with sales teams; Work closely with direct and channel sales teams; Coordinate with AEs before and after client calls; Navigate internal relationships with Customer Success Managers, Product Management, Professional Services, and Partners
Communication Scope
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Communicate at the business level with clients outside of IT
