What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL, Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required, Master's level program in specialty area, BLS/CPR certification required, Minimum of 2 years APN/PA experience in Primary Care setting
Nice to Have
Experience in acute, chronic disease, and preventative care
What You'll Do.
Provide care to patients
Obtain detailed history
Perform physical examinations
Order diagnostic procedures
Instruct patients on therapeutic regimen
Instruct patients on pre/post operative instructions
Follow patients through course of treatment
Collaborate with physicians
Collaborate with health care team
Prescribe pharmacologic therapies
Prescribe non-pharmacologic therapies
Demonstrate evidence-based practice
Participate in development of standards of practice
Participate in implementation of standards of practice
Participate in evaluation of standards of practice
Assess learning needs of patients
Assess learning needs of families
Employ strategies to promote health
Employ strategies to maintain health
Employ strategies to improve health
Provide comprehensive health assessments
Provide differential diagnosis
Prescribe treatments under protocol
Directly manage acute illness
Directly manage chronic illness
Work in interdisciplinary teams
Contribute to safety outcomes
Promote high quality patient experience
Participate in development of service line goals
