What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL, Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required, Completion of master’s level program in specialty area, BLS/CPR certification required
Nice to Have
Prior APN/PA experience preferred, Experience working in an outpatient family medicine setting, Experience with acute and chronic condition management, Experience with preventative care
What You'll Do.
Provides care to patients
Obtains detailed history
Performs physical examinations
Orders diagnostic procedures
Instructs patients on therapeutic regimen
Instructs patients on pre/post operative instructions
Writes progress notes
Follows patients through course of treatment
Collaborates with physicians
Collaborates with health care team
Prescribes pharmacologic therapies
Prescribes non-pharmacologic therapies
Demonstrates evidence-based practice
Participates in development of standards of practice
Participates in implementation of standards of practice
Participates in evaluation of standards of practice
Assesses learning needs of patients
Assesses learning needs of families
Employs strategies to promote health
Employs interventions to promote health
Employs teaching to promote health
Provide comprehensive health assessments
Provide differential diagnosis
Prescribe treatments under protocol
Manages acute illness
Manages chronic illness
Works in interdisciplinary teams
Contributes to safety outcomes
Promotes high quality patient experience
Participates in development of service line goals
Participates in implementation of service line goals
Participates in evaluation of service line goals
Supports strategic plan of organization
