What You'll Do.
Managing a distinct patient population
Performing outpatient and inpatient care
Facilitating discharges and outpatient follow-up
Ensuring adherence to clinical pathways and protocols
Ensuring an environment of safe quality care
Performing and documenting complete history and physical examinations
Ordering and collecting data using appropriate assessment techniques
Serving as the first responder for patient status changes
Coordinating daily clinic schedule with attending physician team
Presenting patient report
Collaborating in plan of care
Managing diagnostic tests
Formulating and documenting a plan of care
Utilizing evidenced based practice guidelines or protocols
Prescribing diagnostic strategies and therapeutic interventions
Performing advanced procedures consistent with privileges and competency validation
Maintaining ongoing communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary health care team
Facilitating and communicating with patient
Documenting patient's progress via daily progress note
and discharge summary
Documentation is timely and meets critical care compliance standards
Demonstrating Professional Practice behaviors
Education and instruction of students
Engaging in research and analysis of evidenced based practice
Participating in Grand Rounds
faculty and unit meetings
Maintaining membership in a professional organization
