What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Experience in the die casting, injection moulding or stamping field within the automotive manufacturing industry, Project management experience, Fundamental computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Project), Full driving licence, Eligibility to work in the UK
Nice to Have
Project Management qualifications is advantageous
What You'll Do.
Leading the work-related development of new manufacturing processes
Developing concepts including specification of equipment
Making recommendations for the technical selection of purchased equipment
Employing lean manufacturing principles to optimize manufacturing operations
Developing and standardizing documentation from concept to production
Preparing and updating equipment SORs and technical comparisons
Maintaining a list of equipment suppliers
Identifying new suppliers and verifying capabilities
Summarizing equipment and installation costs for quoting new business
Standardizing components to minimize spare parts inventory costs
Leading CAPEX based on purchasing of equipment
Facilitating timing and budget for equipment purchasing
Leading major projects installations
Applying AQPQ Product Methodology
Creating Full Product Process
Implementing Automation
Creating Cycle grams & Utilisation charts per process
Performing Cost Analysis & Budget control
Utilizing work methods and instructions through standardized work
Supporting equipment layout to optimize product flow
Utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods and efficient product flow
Developing pre-production packaging solutions
Managing equipment suppliers
installation and acceptance
Leading equipment project timelines
Managing on time delivery
Leading the equipment drawing review and approval process with supplier
Providing timely review and feedback to supplier
Supporting and documenting equipment run-off at suppliers
Supporting and documenting equipment run-off on-site
Preparing and presenting material for program review meetings
Leading and coordinating with Department Leaders in preparation of RFQs and proposals
