Must Have
Bachelor's degree or combination of work experience and coursework, One (1) year related experience, Valid driver's license and a good driving record, Obtain State of Texas vehicle operator's license within 30 days, Qualify to operate a vehicle within TAMUS guidelines, Maintain TAMUS approval, Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications, Knowledge of admissions functions of higher education, Reside in Lubbock TX
Nice to Have
Master's degree, Experience in a university setting as a tour guide, orientation leader, ambassador, residential living or student advisor, Familiarity with W. T. programs, admissions criteria and procedures, Personal intercollegiate student organization involvement a plus, Bilingual (Spanish), Demonstrate leadership skills
What You'll Do.
and increase population of admitted
Track and follow up with targeted students and
Maintain high level of working knowledge of TAMUS
Coordinate with high school and community college counselors
Develop effective plan for recruiting in assigned area(s)
Build new and stronger relations with community colleges
Maintain regular physical presence on community college campuses
Communicate with prospective students regularly via email and
Work directly with applicants and parents to resolve
Represent Office of Admissions in public speaking capacity
Maintain records of public speaking activities
Develop working relationships with assigned TAMUS members
Disseminate admissions information
Advise prospective students on transferable coursework
Advise prospective students about admissions statuses
Coordinate major office programs
Serve on office committees
Maintain 100% compliance with timely completion of required
