Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).** **Position Summary:** Reporting to the Associate Director Administration, the Administrative Manager is responsible for planning, developing and implementing business processes related to finance, human resources and operations, and student affairs to support an Administrative Service Centre (ACS) within the Faculty of Arts. Implements standards for unit service levels and provides managerial support regarding the ASC's goals and objectives. Implements new initiatives that support the strategic direction of the ASC. Directly supervises administrative employees. **Primary Responsibilities:** * Advises departments and departmental Chairs on Faculty and University policies and procedures for finance, human resources and operations, and student affairs. * Manage a variety of financial transactions, such as preparing and submitting operating and other budgets for departments, approval and revision of financial transactions related to the operations of the units within the ASC (e.g. MMP, Pcard, invoice payments, honoraria, guest lecturer payments, etc.). * Manages various transactions in Workday related to payment processing, issuing of contracts, costing allocation approvals, fund approvals, etc. * Advises the department Chairs on resolving budgetary issues, such as over expenditures, journal transfers, etc. * Directly supervise a financial administrator.
