WHO WE ARE: The Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) UI Admin & Ops Support department is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant II position. This position is located at 1411 Brazos St., Austin, Texas. Applicants should demonstrate they enthusiastically share our department’s E.P.I.C. vision and values in a positive, high-paced, and energetic team environment. This position will have an on-site work schedule in Austin, Texas. TWC is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those currently on student or postgraduate visas. You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas. WHAT YOU WILL DO: The UI Administrative Assistant II performs routine (journey-level) customer service work and administrative and/or technical duties for UI Administration & Operational Support team and Tele-Centers. Work involves providing quality customer service for the unemployment benefits program with the Texas Workforce Commission. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO DO: -Provide quality and efficient customer service. -Receive and sort faxes and incoming/returned mail. -Record, screen, and process Employer Responses, and creates cases if needed. -Review, process, and route all UI documents, forms, or correspondence to appropriate parties. -Use FileNet to quality check all documents as needed. -May prepare and provide claimants and employers copies of requested documents or correspondence. -Process specific tasks such as work search log verifications and keying payment requests. -Adhere to strict deadlines. -Perform related work as assigned. YOU ARE GREAT FIT WITH: -Strong word processing and data entry. -Ability to type 40 words per minute with minimal errors. -Experience using copiers, printers, scanners, calculators, and fax machines. -Knowledge of Microsoft Wor
