What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years in software engineering for consumer-focused applications, Experience as tech lead, helping other programmers with software implementation projects, Experience working directly with a variety of teams both internal and external to understand and share the requirements, specifications and the technical details, Ability and experience communicating in Japanese, including written and oral, in a working environment
Nice to Have
3+ years of experience in HMI development for mass production vehicles or development of control software for cockpit ECUs of Meter, HUD, or multimedia systems, 3+ years of production-level programming experience in C, Experience in embedded or ECU software development (practical experience in software architecture design, software implementation, verification, and evaluation), Experience in model-based development (MBD) using MATLAB, Simulink, or similar technologies, Experience in mobile/web/desktop application development using Python, Flutter, Unity, Blender, or similar, Background with automotive industry standards such as functional safety (ISO 26262) and SOTIF, Project management experience with Agile/Scrum, Driving simulator development experience, Experience in UX planning and interactive design
