Full Job Description

China is the biggest passenger car market for Mercedes-Benz. In Mercedes-Benz R&D China. We strive to provide China-fit ADAS/AD products through advanced technologies to our Chinese customers. We are currently looking for ADAS/AD talent who share the same passion and enthusiasm for developing a China-fit ADAS/AD system. The Architect for AD Toolchain Platform is a critical position within the Autonomous Driving Data Team. This role is mainly responsible for defining the simulation technology architecture for AD systems in China with a primary focus on developing and scaling the robust open-loop replay and closed-loop log-simulation systems utilizing real vehicle data. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful recompute tooling delivery fulfilling stakeholder needs . As recompute architect , you will also be responsible for integrating China-specific market demands, regulatory standards, and inputs from suppliers and HQ to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant simulation solutions including but not limited to: 1.      Define Recompute/Simulation concept Define future-proof simulation technology concept and architecture for current and next-generation AD systems Work closely with internal stakeholders, headquarters, industry partners, regulatory bodies to align technology roadmaps               P romote concept reuse and achieve strategic synergy 2.     Design and implement AD recompute solution Design and implement high-performance closed-loop log-simulation pipeline as primary focus Lead the strategy and technical design for core simulation capabilities, prioritizing real-world data ingestion, management, and replay. Deliver architectural solutions for accurate vehicle dynamics modeling, sensor data replay and virtual environment interaction within log-sim context               Ensure all architectural deliverables adhere to relevant regulatory and functional safety (ISO 26262) requirements 3.     Fulfill stakeholder and busi
