What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma/GED, customer service skills, knowledge of patient financial services, knowledge of financial collecting services, knowledge of insurance industry experience processes, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision, ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, interpersonal skills, oral communication skills, written communication skills, knowledge in the use of common office software, knowledge of word processing, knowledge of spreadsheet software, knowledge of database software, typing ability
Nice to Have
Associate’s degree, CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) certification, CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) certification, Knowledge of medical terminology, Knowledge of healthcare systems, Additional related education and/or experience

Proficiency with multiple services

Proficiently verifies insurance benefits
creates the first impression for patient's experience
Demonstrates a positive patient experience
Proficient understanding of payer authorization guidelines
Accurately submits timely notification
Consistently meets all registration related key performance indicators
Obtains federal/state compliance information
documentation required
completing hospital-based compliance forms
Discusses financial liability with patient(s)
collection in full of patient liability
applying for Banner Line of Credit
setting up payment plans
assisting patient with Banner Financial Assistance policy/application
Provides a variety of patient services
financial services tasks
May be assigned functions such as transporting patients
training new hire employees
recapping daily deposits
posting daily deposits
conducting other work assignments
