Heavy lifting and moving of patients, Assisting with ambulation, Frequent, prolonged periods of standing, Bend over, Move machines and equipment of up to 200 lbs, Lift chemical and water solutions of up to 30 lbs, Exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials, Take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test, Provide coverage at any or all area facilities

Must Have

Current appropriate state licensure, Successfully complete CPR Certification

Nice to Have

Recent dialysis experience, Minimum of one-year medical-surgical nursing experience, Hemodialysis experience, ICU experience, Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis, Icd-9 coding Training, Nurses Technical Training

What You'll Do.

Delegate tasks to staff

Assess patient care needs

Monitor patient care staff

Participate in staff training

Participate in staff meetings

Educate patients and family

Provide patient education

Discuss diet/fluid compliance

Provide transplant awareness

Educate on laboratory values

Deliver care to patients with ESRD

Implement treatment prescriptions

Assess patient response to treatment

Initiate Nursing Assessment

Monitor hemodialysis access care

Administer interdialytic transfusions

Ensure documentation accuracy

Prepare lab requisitions

Ensure correct lab tubes

Follow through on missed labs

Package specimens for shipment

Report alert/panic lab results

Forward lab results to physicians

Maintain shift operation

Collaborate with physicians

Provide prescription refills

Transcribe physician orders

Oversee documentation

Maintain facility drug list

Ensure emergency equipment availability

Administer medications

Administer PRN medications

Record controlled substances

Assist with patient transportation

Ensure clean environment

Operate dialysis equipment

Clean patient stations

Document treatment data

Implement admission policies

Verify technician documentation

Complete opening and closing procedures
