What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1-3 years of experience in health actuarial roles, Progress toward ASA or FSA designation, with one exam passed, Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Nice to Have
Health actuarial experience, including Government-funded (Medicaid, TRICARE, VA, Medicare), Commercialployer, and/or other Public/State programs, Proficiency in SQL, SAS, or similar programming languages/tools, including experience writing queries to analyze data and support business insights

Full Job Description
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to client sites and Athena hub cities) Type: Full-Time, Salaried WHAT YOU’LL DO As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role on client teams, taking ownership of your work and collaborating closely with other Analysts, Senior Analysts, and lead actuaries. You’ll support important client projects by analyzing data, assisting in building models, and contributing insights that help shape client strategies. The Actuarial Analyst role also provides opportunities to engage with clients, support new business efforts, and participate in Athena’s broader community. This position offers a strong foundation for an actuarial consulting career, with opportunities to advance through progressively challenging roles.
