Nice to Have
Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course, CRT-Nursing Assistant - Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems within 90 days, Associate's Degree child life, child development, child psychology, early childhood education, recreational therapy or related degree, 1 year of relevant experience working with the appropriate population served (geriatric, TBI, children, teenagers, or volunteers) and in the appropriate setting (long term care, children's hospital) - Based on Spectrum Health entity and department as appropriate, 1 year of relevant experience program planning and development, Familiarity with music, crafts, exercise and group leadership- Based on Spectrum Health entity and department as appropriate, CRT-Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Certified (CTRS) - NCTRC National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification Upon Hire
What You'll Do.

## Job Summary The responsibilities of this position include planning, implementing/conducting and evaluating appropriate activity opportunities for patients. This role supports the health care team in promoting therapeutic services and/or programs. This role is also involved in conducting/implementing community and hospital based programs or special events as designated. ## Essential Functions * Conducts daily group and individual TR sessions in accordance with treatment goals and reports on content of sessions to direct report. Participates with planning group sessions, decorating and maintaining TR supplies and equipment. * Is knowledgeable of residents information and updates.
